Wiccan Horizon — A Guide to the Ancient Religion

There was a time, between 2000 and 2010, when thousands of people took their first steps into witchcraft through a single text: the manual from the online school Land Of Ravens, which brought together more than 14,000 seekers from all over Spain and Latin America. That book, written and guided by Bran Sólo, is now back—revised, expanded, and finally available to everyone.

Horizonte Wicca is a comprehensive and welcoming guide for anyone who wants to practice the Ancient Religion, whether or not they have a coven nearby. Without any smoke and mirrors or contrived mysteries, it takes you by the hand from your very first question—"What is a witch, really?"—to the day you cast your own circle and recognize yourself, in your own right, as a Wiccan.

In its pages, you'll find:

  • Ethics and the Rede, the Lord and the Lady, and the Wheel of the Year with its eight Sabbats.
  • The altar, the tools, the Theban alphabet, and the art of drawing the magic circle.
  • The Book of Shadows: invoking the gods, bread and wine, and the rite of self-initiation for the solitary practitioner.
  • Energy, trance, meditation, and divination with the tarot.
  • One hundred spells organized by purpose—protection, love, prosperity, health, luck…—drawn from Galician folklore and Iberian folk magic and adapted for Wiccan practice.
  • A comprehensive five-level course with self-correcting exams, to study, measure your progress, and initiate yourself.
  • More than just a collection of spells, it is a way of looking at the world: feeling the year turn beneath your feet, giving thanks for the rain, knowing you are a living part of nature. A work written from the experience of someone who has walked the path and now shares, with honesty and tenderness, everything they have learned.

Welcome to the Ancient Religion. The rest of the path is yours.

How do you frame your new work?

Bran Sólo's work is sent unframed for security reasons, to avoid damage due to glass breakage and to reduce shipping and customs costs for international shipments. However, it is very easy to find a frame for your new work.

All reproductions and special editions have a standard size of A4, A3 or 50x70cm. This makes it easy and inexpensive to find a ready-made frame to fit the work.

The original works are usually the same size, except for some works on paper with artistic formats. This means that you will be able to frame almost any artwork with ready-made frames that you can find in home decor stores.

In the description of each artwork you can find the approximate size, but we recommend waiting to receive the artwork at home before ordering a personalized passepartout (see below).

Oil paintings on wood do not need framing or glass, they are ready to hang when you receive them. All have been varnished with UV filter and dust protection to ensure their durability.

- Reproductions: The sizes are A4 (21x29,7cm), A3 (29,7x42cm), or 50x70cm. You can find frames in IKEA, LEROY MERLIN, or MICHAEL'S

- Originals: If the size of the work does not correspond to the standard frame sizes of your country, or you want to use a frame that you have at home, simply find a frame with a larger size and order a passepartout or mat with that frame size, and with a window of the size of the work (-4mm security).
You have online stores selling passepartouts at Europe and in USA .
This way, you will have an economical frame and the work will breathe in the outline, being cleaner and more elegant. You can always make a custom frame, to your liking, depending on your budget.
